This extraordinary dance party seamlessly blends the infectious beats of the 80s and 90s with a dazzling futuristic twist, creating a night that's not only about dancing, but also about celebrating empowerment, inclusivity, and progress. The pulsating energy of iconic tracks from the 80s and 90s floods the airwaves, beckoning you to move and groove to the rhythm of eras gone by, while a seamless fusion of modern remixes adds a thrilling twist to the classics you know and love.

Dress code? But, also feel free to dress as casual or as formal as you like. This dance floor is made for all of us. The Feminist Ball prides itself on more than just dance moves - it's a celebration of empowerment and equality. Throughout the event, thought-provoking visuals and quotes from prominent feminists past and present are projected, inspiring discussions and connections among attendees.

With a special guest DJ, renowned for their eclectic mix of era-spanning tracks, keep the momentum alive, ensuring that the dance floor remains a haven for liberation and self-expression.

So, grab your boldest dance moves, dress to make a statement across dimensions, and get ready to groove your way through time at this unforgettable celebration of music, empowerment, and boundless imagination.

DoSOMETHING.ORG YOUTH PROGRAMMING (13-18 years old)

DoSomething at Youth Activist Lounge is a space for Gen Z attendees who are eager to connect and be inspired about the next future of youth impact and leadership.

The Lounge is a hub for empowerment, education, and connection. Here you can reset and recharge (even your phone), and take part in a variety of actions and activities to spark your activism in all the issues that are important to you. Meet with local activists, capture your excitement and share your journey at our selfie booths. Indulge in art breaks that unlock your creativity and connect you with fellow activists. And don't miss the incredible chance to record your own narrative, sharing your personal story of purpose and drive.

PLUS throughout the weekend, we’ll host special screenings and talkbacks of Misty Copeland's short film “Flower,” where we’ll explore the power of storytelling and art in movement building and activism to explore the issues happening in our communities. The after-film talk-back session will offer a conversation with a lively panel, including one of the filmmakers and representatives from a local community organization that supports housing insecure youth.

Navigating the Journey: Past, Present, Future

Join us as we explore the roadmap of the feminist movement - charting its history, taking stock of the present, and envisioning the future. This intimate conversation between Rachel Carmona and Loretta Ross will provide a unique perspective on our collective journey. Understanding the path that brought us here, and the challenges and opportunities ahead, is key to effectively steering our course and shaping a more equitable future.
